A Stitch in Time ……. Pumpkins and Gourds

What is it about the Orange and Rust colors of October that make me want to gather them all in, the drier the better, in baskets and porches? The excitement amazes me because I have been floating in the fragrance and beauty of the Garden for months! How can we change so quickly? But we do.. I do…is it the need for change or the blessing of receiving more? Like sitting here in the Garden looking at beautiful blue Morning Glory’s as they bounce in the breeze, and below them are dazzling orange and red zinnias winding down their growth? Obviously we can have them both in the same moment! The Bees are enjoying both gifts, not judging between one or the other. I guess that is a message to myself!

Our Inner Guidance allows us all, all we need and desire, as long as we reach through the mind and into our hearts. So now I am sharing the last days of the Garden by moving them to more permanent homes in the new perennial beds, or to the indoors for protection. I am now seeing the color changes as messages that it is time for change, in the Garden Plan and in myself…orange helps me adjust!! I will embrace the color changes in my own wardrobe, my room, and my deep listening that can be heard through color change, fragrances in the air, soft sounds, and chills in the morning.

The life around us is Sentient and open to share all their Beingness, in whatever ways we are willing to Open to! So I am embracing my dry zinnias, our drying herbs, geraniums returning to their windows to rest, the cushions of comfort stored for their future, the pots and planters emptied of their support, and waiting for guidance about Autumn decorations, Halloween characters to join the oncoming Holidays. All of this October is with Gratitude and Thankfulness for our chosen Path!
