A Stitch in Time…….A Blanket Stitch needed now!

The Blanket Stitch is my favorite sewing stitch, and the simplest to maneuver. It brings every thread, edge, and pattern together in one beautiful stitch. Most stitches you don’t want anyone to see, because you never know how attractive they will be, especially at my age and visual acuity. As I am looking at this pattern I see my blanket of Self needing new stitches to help me as I go forward into new realms of recognition and understanding. I see the garden as well, and the work we are doing in putting the Garden to rest with the cold temperatures creeping in. I find myself tucking in the perimeters so that all will be protected, and doing the same for ourselves and others who are searching for inner strength they forgot they had. It is so funny how parallel I am with the Garden in my own demeanor!!

And that awesome stitch….. you start by taking an upward stitch to the top, looping the needle under that stitch then make a downward stitch, to begin the next movement. When done correctly, you have what looks like fencing all around the edges, holding everything in place and safe from any loose ends! This is what we did in the Garden Plan, pulled from all our knowing and feeling to create a safe place to expand. That Is where I am now, listening closely, looking deeply, and cautious that no plant is left uncared for, and that I have no loose ends that could keep me from my highest potential movement. Winter brings amazing adventures and possibilities that are waiting our entrance, and I am intentionally choosing to be ready for whatever our Work shows us, one stitch at a time.

The eye of Clarity catches all the light of these changes….
