A Stitch in Time…….Moving into the warmth

As the cold air begins to seep under the doorways and around the walls, it reminds us that it is time to move our thoughts to our inner circle of comfort. This always brings some waning remembrances of moments soaking up the sun of summer, but then the chill shoots through the body and we are back again embracing the golden leaves and browning flower heads. The smells of crackling outdoor fires, and preparing for the holidays ahead. I love bringing out the lovingly collected decorations of 30+ years, and how they have delighted our family gatherings so much. These remembrances are the warmth we seek, and the reach for the years yet ahead. The Work that brought us all together those 30+years ago has been our Guide for our own growth and sustenance in this journey we each have chosen. There is no desire to rest from our journey, but a passionate forward reach for more, the more that we can share with others. This Work is our inner circle of comfort.

Here we are given time to reflect on ocean changes and woodland shadows from bare trees preparing themselves as well for the excitement of snow and ski trails and blessed holiday visits. Here we are given time to reflect on our own personal changes as well. We will leave the garden beds to rest, and thank them for all the beauty they gave us! So much guidance for me was shared with them from planting to harvesting. Information that I had not been aware of, is now “planted” in my mind for the next cycle of my growth. Well, excuse my leaving now, after these rains I have leaves to gather and sticks to pick up. Ready for the city pickup of Fall gatherings, and the letting go of unnecessary distractions.

Here is a collage from Clarity Artists, speaking of breakthroughs….
